Principal lecturer awarded Associateship of the Royal Agricultural Society of England

The Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE) is an independent charity dedicated to the scientific development of agriculture and land management to ensure optimisation of food resources for a secure global future.

Charles said: “It’s a great honour to have been awarded Associateship of the Royal Agricultural Society of England and I’m looking forward to the formal presentation ceremony in the House of Lords next March.

“The Society is a tremendous network of so many influential and important people in the industry that I can scarcely believe I’m now one of their number, but it will be a great opportunity to continue learning, to support the industry as it gears up for whatever its exciting future holds and to continue to promote the university's work in so many areas.”

Mr Cowap has been awarded an associateship for his contribution to the practice and development of agriculture. His candidacy was proposed by previous Harper Adams Governor, Roger Mercer, supported by Roger and Alan Spedding and assessed by former Principal of Reaseheath College, Vic Croxson, and Chief Executive of the, Ian Bell OBE, FRAgs.

In addition, Mr Cowap wrote a detailed submission outlining his contribution to the agricultural and land management industry throughout his career as a chartered surveyor. Working in areas which include; the Cheshire and Nottinghamshire, government valuation services, professional involvement with andand outreach and lectureship at ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ.

He is active onand , as well as runningwhich he updates regularly with points of relevance to the industry.
