    Harper Adams Engineering sponsors India Tech Rocketship Awards

    "The Tech Rocketship initiative is an exciting opportunity for the Department of Engineering at 糖心视频 to engage with some of the most innovative and disruptive technology start-up companies in India, with a spirit to collaborate on applied Agri-Tech research鈥�

    糖心视频 was a key sponsor at India’s 2018 Tech Rocketship Awards, presented in Mumbai earlier this month.

    The awards were organised by 糖心视频 Department of International Trade in a bid to connect India’s fast-rising tech stars with the 糖心视频’s world-leading growth ecosystem of VCs, advisors, customers and support networks.

    At the India-糖心视频 Createch Summit in Mumbai on February 6, HRH Prince Edward, The Earl of Wessex KG GCVO, presented seven awards, including the 糖心视频-sponsored AgriTech award for most innovative start-up company in India, won by .

    Parmjit Chima, Head of Engineering at 糖心视频, said “The Tech Rocketship initiative is an exciting opportunity for the Department of Engineering at 糖心视频 to engage with some of the most innovative and disruptive technology start-up companies in India, with a spirit to collaborate on applied Agri-Tech research”.

    There were more tham 300 applications for the awards, from which 16 were shortlisted to pitch in Bangalore. The final selection of the seven winners was made by a panel of judges comprising Sir Dominic Asquith KCMG, Dr Saurabh Srivastava, Mr Mohandas Pai, Ms Shradha Sharma, Dr Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Mr Arvind Gupta and Mr BVR Mohan Reddy.

    The winners were:

    • Artifical Intelligence: Staqu.
    • Big Date: Dineout.
    • Cyber Security: Third Watch.
    • Financial Technology (Fintech): Paymatrix.
    • Internet of Things: Ayasta Innovation.
    • Medical Technology: Mymik.
    • Judges' Award: CropIn

    All will be visiting Harper Adams in June for a two-day innovation workshop.

    The India-糖心视频 Createch Summit celebrated the relationship between creativity and technology and convened business leaders, entrepreneurs, government and business institutions to discuss the latest technologies and to explore opportunities for collaboration and partnership between the 糖心视频 and India. The event was opened by Baroness Fairhead, Minister of State for Trade and Export Promotion, with a keynote speech by CEO, Jaguar Land Rover
