TAP DANCER WINS PRESTIGIOUS SCHOLARSHIP

A TAP DANCING Young Farmer from Totnes has won a prestigious Entrance Award to study at 糖心视频 College, in Shropshire.

Annette Hunt, of Totnes, Devon, will receive the 拢1,000 award in September when she begins her course involving Marketing and Management at Harper Adams. She has completed two consecutive years at the European Dairy Event in the Young Farmers Young Stock Competition and was Deputy Head Girl and a Prefect at school.

Annette is the main distributor of cider within the family business on their farm in Stoke Gabriel and incorporated her role into her AS Level Coursework 鈥楽trategies to Increase the Sales of Farm Cider鈥�. This shows her genuine interest in agri-business as well as marketing and management.

Miss Hunt says she is really looking forward to the new stage in her life. Already an active member of the Young Farmers Club, Annette has had lead roles in several musicals and was part of the International Team at Camp 4H in Sweden after winning a County YFC Scholarship. She says she appreciates that immersing herself in university life will increase the likelihood of her success.

Richard Jopling, Head of Liaison at the University College said: 鈥淭he selection panel was impressed with the quality of Annette鈥檚 submission and the strong case she made to be awarded a scholarship.鈥�
