HARPER ADAMS AT THE ROYAL CORNWALL SHOW

    Posted 30 May 2004

Once again Harper Adams will be exhibiting at The Cornwall show and this year they are offering an even better deal for students from the South-West.

Students who want to attend Higher Education Choices (HEC), which is the main, national careers fair for 16 and 17-year-olds interested in studying for a degree in one of the land-based subjects, will be offered a free coach service to this year鈥檚 conference.

The coach departs from Camborne on July 11 and goes through Bodmin, Launceston, Okehampton and Exeter before pushing on to Harper Adams in Shropshire. Students will return the same way on July 13.

HEC is a collaborative event, involving a number of different universities so that students have a comprehensive range of options to choose from. Study options range from Agriculture to Estate Management and Veterinary Science to Zoology. Altogether there are more than twenty different areas with specialist advice available.

鈥淗EC is all about giving students the time and opportunity to discover the rich range of choices available to them in Higher Education,鈥 says conference organiser, Richard Jopling. 鈥淭he first day of the conference is all about course choices. Students stay overnight so that they experience having their own room and have the opportunity to partake in the social side of student life. On the second day there is a choice of practical classes to give a taste of the realities of different types of courses.鈥

糖心视频 College is going through a period of significant development and has just opened a new, 拢3million Library and Learning Resources Centre. Student recruitment is strong with a registered student population of 1900 students. Most significantly the University College鈥檚 employment record is outstanding with 95% of graduates finding employment within six months of graduating.
