Wear It Pink

糖心视频 College, Newport, have raised more than 拢200 for charity by 鈥榯hinking pink鈥�. Staff and students came to work dressed in every shade of pink last Friday (October 29) as part of the Breast Cancer Campaign鈥檚 Wear It Pink national event, and netted a total of 拢210. The idea behind the event was to pay 拢2 to dress in pink, whether that be from head to toe, or taking the subtle approach with a hint of pink lipgloss.

Harper Adams spokeswoman, Claire Robertson-Bennett, said: 鈥淲e were very pleased to see so many staff raiding their wardrobes for pink skirts, jumpers, ties and trousers 鈥� I鈥檝e never seen so many different shades of pink all gathered in one room. We may not have looked at our most co-ordinated, but we were certainly eye-catching. It was great fun and we were pleased to raise as much as we could for such a deserving charity.鈥�

Last year the charity鈥檚 Wear It Pink day raised 拢600,000 for research into breast cancer, but this year the target was 拢840,000.
